SIC has able to secure support from Renbel Constituency/ MP for assisting transporting SP's materials to site via its MV Avaikimaine which still reschedule to leave by 7th June 2018. As per estimated freight cost in the BOQ value to $10,000.00. With support by MP, the amounts will use for additional pipes (stand pipes + branch line piping) and also to add towards hiring or engaging of technical supervisor. A possible co-funding is expected from RWASH which will meet other complemented components of the SP as per TDF. Its value to around $65,000.00. Major part of it is to meet cost for construction of 2 x standalone rainwater catchments (3000ltrs).

Other Comment: Todate, major procurement under RDP funds has been done and ready for shipments to SP's site. Consultation with RWASH extension team in the Province for conduction of pre-construction workshop which will reflect huge corporation and efforts in implementation of such policy lines. Other arrangements to engage technical specialize person to supervise the construction of the water supply is in good progress and SIC to confirm that while all materials are on site. Other negotiations are in good progress to engage an excavator machine from Logging & mining companies operated in the island (Rennell) to do excavation for main pipe lines. Again, successful completion of this SP will set a good precedence and landmark for RDP doing similar SPs in future.
