Subproject Objective:
To provide healthy, hygienic and clean fresh water for drinking and cooking for Babanga community.
Brief Description:
The water tanks will be a source of clean healthy water for drinking, cooking etc, for the community(Babanga). Babanga village is situated on a low-lying atoll island which lacks fresh water resources. Apart from dug wells, the only viable option to collect fresh water is by rain-water catchment tanks. Only a few fortunate individuals could afford that, while majority don't have access. The proposed sub-project would definitely help the community have access to good quality water.
